Economist’s forecast sees Denver housing turnaround

April 8, 2008 on 8:57 am | In market and money, news-articles |

Are all real estate markets the same? Of course not. So why when people hear that the Miami FL, Phoenix AZ or Vegas real estate market are suffering do they conclude that the Denver market shares their traits? I’m sure there is no real answer to this question. I do think that a good start is to examine human pessimism, in this case it is mostly buyer pessimism.

Rocky Mountain News and countless others (including myself) see the Denver market as bottomed out and heading back up. “The mountain region, which includes Denver, again performed slightly better than the nationwide average. Home prices in the mountain region dropped 0.8 percent in January from the year earlier and inched up 0.1 percent from December.”  These stats are still around yet dont look for them to be for long.  This is the best time to buy real estate in the past 20 years!

Feel free to sit on the sidelines, that is how others make their fortunes.
